Buy recon and second hand Range Rover engines at lowest online rates

Range Rover has long been one of the most famous SUV brands, and there is a reason for that. Range Rovers are arguably the best SUVs ever made, and the first off-road vehicle to be driven on the roads. The first-ever Range Rover was designed in such a way that people who wanted to drive it off-road could enjoy it but those who sought the luxury of driving an SUV on-road could get to relish a great experience too.Range Rover Engine

Range Rovers have been great to drive but are quite expensive too. With luxury and a great driving experience alongside very powerful engines comes increased costs, which cannot be afforded by a common person. But, that hasn’t stopped Range Rover from becoming the number one SUV brand in the world as success comes when people like and buy a product, and people adored Range Rovers when they first saw them.

Under Land Rover, the Range Rover brand was manufactured to not only provide luxury but also power, and to do that, a very powerful engine was needed, and the final released SUV didn’t disappoint upon its launch in 1970. The first Rover, codenamed ‘Velar’ in its prototype form, was the first 4x4 to be driven on roads, and when other manufacturers saw that, they started manufacturing more 4x4s.

Over the years, when a product gets used by a lot of people, problems start appearing in them as well. So, the manufacturers always have to be ready to face and resolve these issues. Before going deep into the issues of Range Rover SUVs, let’s discuss the history of Range Rover and how it started first.

History of Range Rover

Range Rover Engine Reconditioning

The history of Range Rover goes way back. It all started when a prototype named ‘Velar’ was tried and tested by Land Rover, and upon considerable success, the product was released in 1970 with the brand name Range Rover. That was the first-ever Range Rover to be released and remains an iconic model in the history of Range Rover.

After being released in 1970, the SUV immediately gained popularity being of great design and also having the functionality of a 4x4 vehicle. This luxury combined with a powerful engine and super-unique features made the SUV an instant hit among the public. But, some people still had doubts about the Range Rover due to the SUV being a two-door vehicle.

To satisfy those people, a 4-door classic was released in 1981 which was even more successful than the 1970 Range Rover. The Rover v8 was installed in the 1994 Range Rover, the second edition of the series and turned out to be one of the most powerful engines around at the time, equipped with a 4.7L engine.

Newer versions of Range Rover followed in the next few years in 2001, 2005, 2011 and then 2017 with the release of the Range Rover Velar. With each version, Range Rover has always improved its vehicles with a view of a much modern look and performance. This has allowed it to compete with its competitors and even with the ownership of Land Rover changing hands a lot in the past few years, Range Rover has not lost its identity and keeps performing as one of the most successful SUVs in the modern-day world too.

Are Range Rovers Reliable?

That is a very complicated question nearly everybody asks. If we go back a few decades, Land Rovers were the go-to vehicles for heavy off-road usage due to their tank-like performance off the road and that was the reason it was used by farmers and businessmen. The report published by the Daily Mail a few years ago stated that more than seventy-percent of Land Rovers and Range Rovers in used condition broke down each year. That is a big number of broken-down vehicles.

Even in 2019, Range Rovers and Land Rovers have been seen as the most unreliable vehicles of all the SUVs. That doesn’t bode well for people looking to buy Range Rovers. Most of the issues have been related to transmission and engines. So, for those who do own a Range Rover and are facing constant engine issues, we have a solution for you at the end.

Problems of Range Rover Engines

Range Rover Engines

Range Rovers are stunningly beautiful, luxurious and powerful. But, having said that, if anyone came and told you that they’re reliable, one can’t do anything but laugh at them as Rovers are probably the least reliable SUVs out there. But, the demand is still quite high due to the brand and the experience that comes with this historical brand.

The biggest issue seen in Range Rover engines has been the overheating problem, existing in a lot of Range Rovers currently on the road. Another problem is related to the ignition. Engine parts have to be in prime condition to ensure that the SUV’s engine ignites properly and starts, but due to damaged parts, the SUV either doesn’t start or struggles to do so.

An issue that greatly affects the fuel-efficiency of Range Rovers is the oil leakage from the front crankshaft. This is a complex issue to deal with and if not resolved in due time will result in a very expensive repair. As there are multiple cylinders in every big engine, all cylinders have to be in sync with each other to ensure the smooth running of the engine. That said, some Range Rovers have had a misfiring issue due to one or more cylinders not running properly.

A broken or partially damaged pulley also creates chirping sounds from the engine which does not turn out to be a great driving experience. All these issues are persistent in most Range Rovers, and if your engine is repeatedly causing these issues, it would be much better for you to replace the engine completely with a used or reconditioned Range Rover engine suitable for your car model.

How to Fix Constant Engine Issues?

Persistent engine issues are a pain in the head and no vehicle owner deserves to go through such issues. The only fix in case of constant engine issues is replacing the entire engine completely with a different engine that does not have the issues of the existing engine. But, those engines which are free of issues are very difficult to find, especially in the used engines category. Fortunately for you, we’ll help you find the right engine.

Is a Used or Reconditioned Engine the Solution?

Several people refrain from buying engines and prefer buying new engines from the official dealer. That is a good thing but there are several repercussions along with that as well, the first being a very expensive price.

Dealers charge a lot of money for a new engine, and you can get a used or reconditioned engine at 40-50% of the price of the new engine, which will last as long as a new engine would. Everybody wants value for their money, and we’re giving you an ideal solution for that.
